The Journey
My path into tech began in 2020, when I used the quiet of the pandemic to teach myself Python and JavaScript. Recognizing a deeper calling than the kitchen, I left a career in restaurants and enrolled in a coding bootcamp to sharpen those self-taught foundations into real engineering skills. The rapid rise of AI has only accelerated what's possible — I now have the tools to bring nearly any idea to life, and I intend to keep doing exactly that.
What I Do
I specialize in building modern web applications with React, TypeScript, and Next.js, and I develop games using Godot and C#. My work sits at the intersection of engineering and design — I care deeply about developer experience, cohesive design systems, and crafting interfaces that feel effortless and intentional. This blog is where I document what I'm learning and share perspectives along the way.
Beyond the Screen
When I step away from the keyboard, I'm usually out on the trails around Seattle, experimenting in the kitchen, getting lost in a fantasy or sci-fi novel, or practicing yoga. I believe strongly in taking care of the mind and body in equal measure. I've also built a few widgets connected to my Strava account — scroll down to see what I've been up to.
