I'm a software engineer with about three years of experience, working on projects ranging from internal tools in JavaScript and TypeScript for video editing to automating transcripts with Whisper AI. Before tech, I spent years as a fine-dining chef, an experience that taught me to thrive under pressure, focus on details, and always prioritize the end customer. Originally from northern Michigan, I now call Seattle home, where I spend my free time trail running and hiking in the Cascades.

Ok, What's with the Name?

Some people call me Panz (like the plural of a cooking pan). I got the nickname back when I was a chef at Tilth — a nod to my Germanic last name and being a “tank” in the kitchen. It stuck, and I've been rolling with it ever since.
